Gator done!!

Watching the BCS Championship Game and I've come to several conclusions:

  • Chris Leak finally showed why he was the player I picked to win the Heisman back in 2004.
  • Urban Meyer is a great coach. Probably the 2nd best coach in college football right now. (And no, Mike, Charlie Weis is not #1.)
  • Jim Tressel will never have my respect as long as he still wears that ridiculous outfit.
  • The only reason Ohio St. gets great recruits is because of the stickers of ganja on the sides of the Buckeye helmets.

Hat tip to Cody who pointed out this passage in "The End of Faith," the current selection listed under "WHAT I'M READING":

"The belief that certain books were written by God (who, for reasons difficult to fathom, make Shakespeare a far better writer than himself) leaves us powerless to address the most potent source of human conflict, past and present."

Ha! I love it!

An all-new 'House' tomorrow! All is wonderful with the world!

I'll leave you with this stumper:

ONE: You know how when you are growing up, what you want to be changes almost by the minute? At one point -- and I believe it was around 7th grade -- I wanted to be an architect. I'm willing to bet that 50% of boys said they wanted to be an architect at one time or another.

TWO: Now consider that almost every other male character in film seems to be an architect. Is it because carrying blueprints makes for a great prop? I don't know the reasoning behind it, but I just know there seems to be a lot of architects in movies.

Now given those two points, why oh why have I never once met an architect in my life?

Whoa whoa whoa...everybody cool out. Just coooool out...COOL OUT!

Chris Leak played great but he was also not even slightly pressured last night.

Where was this love of Urban Meyer all season as they squeaked past Vanderbuilt and South Carolina? One game does not a great coach make. That squirrely son of a bitch used motion in a fucking PUNT FORMATION! I'm not ready to call him number 2 just yet.

Jim Tressel's outfit is far from ridiculous. A sweater vest and a tie? Pardon him for looking like a professional, I guess...just like that other ridiculous guy Joe Paterno. I thought you of all people would appreciate a coach showing a little class out there.

That passage is asinine. Your love of atheism scares me.

At least we agree on "House."

I watched "The Last Kiss" last night and Zach Braff's character was, in fact, an architect. Advertising is another industry that gets a lot of screen time. I wanted to be a veterinarian.

So, out of curiosity, who is the #1 coach in College Football? Pete "Pom-Pom" Carroll? Don't you lose points for acting like a silly schoolgirl. My vote goes to Jeff Tedford or Greg Schiano.

That's a joke, right?

Not a joke. But the fact that the #1 is glaringly omitted from your post, and the fact that you asked me if I was joking both lead me to believe that you think the #1 pick is obvious.

So who?

The sentimental pick would be Paterno, I guess. Or Bowden ...

He answers a joke with a joke. I love it. Okay, you'll make me say it. Currently, the best coach in college football is clearly, inarguably, undoubtedly Pete Carroll. There is not even room for discussion.

There are very few books on this earth that claim to be written by God. For example, the bible was written my ordinary men (many of them fisherman and not english majors) who claimed to be inspired by God. Nowhere did they claim to be great writers (although the gospel of John and Peter's epistles are renouned for their high literary level).
The Quaran is the only book I can think of that claims to be written by God. Obviously Muhamad wrote the words but it's not the gospel of muhamad, or anything like that involving commentary, but words directly from God to paper, at least that's the claim.
